When God first spoke to me about naming this ministry, I HEARD Him say, "Live Big! Live an Epic Journey!"
I want us all to Live Big, because that is what God greatly desires for our lives. I want you to live a life that far surpasses your childhood dreams. I want your life to be what you and others would consider to be an epic journey.
Webster defines an epic to be a series of events regarded as heroic; grand; majestic; imposing. It goes on to say it is dealing with or characterized by events of historical or legendary importance. MSN Encarta Dictionary Online states that an epic entails celebrating the adventures and achievements of a legendary or traditional hero, or something that is very large or heroic: impressive by virtue of greatness of size, scope, or heroism.
When God first told me that He wanted each one of us regardless of background, age or experience, to “Live Big, He said that our lives should really be stories of an Epic Journey.” At that time, I chose not to look up the definition in the dictionary. Instead, I relied upon what God whispered to me. Simply put, in this world of epic novels and movies, we might be misled into thinking that an epic is just something large; something that dwarfs everything around them. But that is not so. In fact, a true epic story includes something that is extraordinary. As you can see from the dictionary definitions, that is clearly the case.
Friends, God wants us to Live Big, but He is not telling us to simply “live Large.” He wants us to live extraordinary lives that reflect legendary achievements and heroism. He wants our lives to be filled with impressive virtue and values that reflect the image that we bear; the image of Christ Jesus.
With this understanding, I embarked upon a journey with the Lord. Inquiring of Him to learn exactly what HIS definition and description of an Epic Journey might be. I believe this extraordinary journey is found in developing an intimate relationship with Him and seeking first His Kingdom and His righteousness, as Jesus explained in Matthew chapter 6. I am convinced that His Kingdom is indeed at hand and available to us, right here and right now, anywhere on the earth. Once we get the revelation for ourselves that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of the Living God, Jesus will also give us the keys to the Kingdom!
My desire is for you to know the love of Christ; to draw near to Him in a very real and tangible manner, so that you are able to live out the life-giving testimony of Jesus to the world around you.
Epic Journey Ministries is devoted to the Father and to His heart to bring His lost children home through the reality of His Kingdom being made manifest. It is through this full revelation of the Father’s heart that the world will see and experience the abundant life He desires each of us to live. When you seek Him with your whole heart, He will be found by you. When you choose to come into alignment with His plan and purposes for your life, you will discover that in and through Him all things are possible and you will live big! You will live an extraordinary life as a child of the Most High King and it will indeed be an Epic Journey!
