Do you know Jesus?
The answer to this important question can make all the difference in your life.
Let’s take a closer look.
You may ask, “Does God Love Me?” The answer is a resounding YES!
Jeremiah 31:3
“I have loved you, my people, with an everlasting love. With unfailing love I have drawn you to myself.
Dear One,
God is not angry with you. He is not holding you up to some grand measuring stick to see how much you fall short. He loves you! He longs for you to know that! His love is so extraordinary and fulfilling. It is unlike any love you could ever know from another human being, because His love truly is unconditional; It is divine. He wants to call you His child and He wants you to get to know Him.
Don’t worry about where you have been or what you may have done in the past. Today is an opportunity to have a new beginning and a brand new life. Even if you have spent years trying to run from God, it is not too late. He loves you. He has been aware of all that you have done and experienced. He sees and He cares. You matter to Him.
In fact, God loves you so much that He sent His Son from Heaven to earth to deal with the sins of all people, including yours and mine, so that we could have a relationship with Him. That is why Jesus endured the suffering on the cross.
You matter personally to Him.
Did you know that He has seen every single tear you have ever cried… and that He collected them and placed them in a bottle?
You keep track of all my sorrows. You have collected all my tears in your bottle. You have recorded each one in your book. Psalm 56:8
He even knows the number of hairs on your head! Luke 12:7 And the very hairs on your head are all numbered.
God loves you and He has good plans for your life.
Look at what the Bible says in Jeremiah 29:11 in The Message.
I’ll show up and take care of you as I promised and bring you back home. I know what I’m doing. I have it all planned out—plans to take care of you, not abandon you, plans to give you the future you hope for.
God is love… 1 John 4:16
Love gives us a choice. Since God is love, He doesn’t demand that we love or choose Him but His heart longs for us to do so.
Jesus is the only way to God.
Jesus told him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one can come to the Father except through me.” John 14:6
Can God really change my life?
Yes, He can, if you will let Him.
No matter whom you are, regardless of your past, God will gladly welcome you into His family. If you allow Jesus into your life, He will make you complete and help you become all that He created you to be.
“I am the Lord, the God of all the peoples of the world. Is anything too hard for me?” Jeremiah 32:27
This means that anyone who belongs to Christ has become a new person. The old life is gone; a new life has begun! 2 Corinthians 5:17
Does God want to have a relationship with me?
If you are asking this question, I assure you that God is smiling; He is very pleased that you have a desire to get to know Him! He has been waiting for this day and He is here with open arms to welcome you. He wants you to spend eternity in a close, intimate relationship with Him. He wants you to be His son or daughter.
“But to all who believed him and accepted him, he gave the right to become children of God.” John 1:12
The Bible tells us, “If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.” Romans 10:9
“Sirs, what do I have to do to be saved, to really live?” They said, “Put your entire trust in the Master Jesus. Then you’ll live as you were meant to live—and everyone in your house included!” Acts 16:30-31
How do I begin a relationship with God?
First, admit that you, like all of us, have sinned. That means that you have done wrong things which fall short of God’s perfect standard and plan. Sin causes separation from Him and deserves His judgment.
God loves us so much that He sent His own son, Jesus Christ, to be punished for our sins. Jesus was punished and died so we don’t have to be. Jesus took our sins, as if they were His own, and died on the cross. But death did not defeat Him. After three days Jesus rose from the dead! He is alive today!
Jesus did this so there could be forgiveness of your sin. Trusting in Him and accepting this free gift of His sacrifice is the only way to find forgiveness from God and to begin a relationship with Him.
Do you want to accept this free gift from Him and begin a relationship with Him today?
Take this step of faith and talk to Him. We call talking to God, prayer. Tell Him you believe in His Son and that you want to get to know Him.
Here is a sample prayer. You may pray these words or personalize it. As long as you speak to God from your heart, He will hear you and you will begin your new life as His Son or daughter right away.
Dear God,
I am a sinner. I am sorry that I have done wrong things. I want to stop sinning and have a new life. I believe that Jesus Christ is your Son. I believe that He died for me. I believe that He rose from the grave and He is alive. I want to invite Him into my heart and take control of my life from this day forward. Thank you for loving me. I pray this all in the name of Jesus. Amen.
