At the heart of Epic Journey ministries is a revelation of Jesus Christ and His Cross. Jesus’ sacrificial love provided the way for us to have intimacy with Him and to know the Father’s heart; which is to bring many sons and daughters into His Kingdom as members of His royal family and royal priesthood.  We were created in His likeness and for His pleasure.

The Cross was a public declaration of God’s Love, Mercy and Grace. It demonstrated His devotion and commitment to mankind as well as the reality of His power over all the forces of darkness, death and sin. It testifies to God’s undying, unfailing compassion towards us and it snatches us from the rightful consequences of our own selfishness and sin. Once we recognize the length that He has gone to in order to demonstrate this great love and we fully comprehend the depth of its life-giving gift, the Cross captures our hearts and beckons us to likewise abandon and forsake all other riches and take up this very cross for the sake of others.

Jesus systematically did what was needed to redeem mankind from ALL the effects of the curse which came about as a result of the choice Adam and Eve made to eat of the forbidden fruit in the Garden of Eden. This act of disobedience resulted in death and decay entering into mankind’s physical and spiritual lives.

Jesus said, “The thief comes only in order to steal and kill and destroy. I came that they may have and enjoy life, and have it in abundance (to the full, till it overflows).” John 10:10 AMP

God’s plan of redemption is intended to restore life to mankind in its fullest form. He did not leave anything out! His plan is for us to be fully alive in every way, and to be set free from everything that seeks to ensnare and entangle us.

Our hope and abundant life are indeed found in the Cross of Jesus Christ.

Participate & Connect with God

Read and meditate upon the following passage, penned by the Apostle Paul in  his letter to the church in Colossae.

Who Christ is, and what he has done
Colossians 1:15-20 Phillips Translation

Now Christ is the visible expression of the invisible God. He existed before creation began, for it was through him that every thing was made, whether spiritual or material, seen or unseen. Through him, and for him, also, were created power and dominion, ownership and authority. In fact, every single thing was created through, and for him. He is both the first principle and the upholding principle of the whole scheme of creation. And now he is the head of the body which is composed of all Christian people. Life from nothing began through him, and life from the dead began through him, and he is, therefore, justly called the Lord of all. It was in him that the full nature of God chose to live, and through him God planned to reconcile in his own person, as it were, everything on earth and everything in Heaven by virtue of the sacrifice of the cross.

Read Colossians 1:12-28 in your own Bible.

Read Colossians 1:12-28 in the Amplified translation.

If you do not have the Amplified translation, click over onto the Resource page to look up the passage in Bible Gateway. Here you can also read it in a number of other translations.

Ask the Holy Spirit to help you fully understand what Jesus has done for you.

Pray:

Thank You Heavenly Father, that You loved me so much that You sent Jesus to fulfill Your plan of Redemption to reconcile me back to You. Thank You for the cross and all that was accomplished by Jesus’ sacrificial love. I now understand that all the fullness of Your nature is within Him and since I have accepted Him as my Lord and Savior, His Spirit, in all this fullness, is within me! This is the great mystery which the Apostle Paul   spoke of: Christ in me is the hope of glory! Christ in me brings me the hope of all   glorious things to come. Christ in me brings me the hope of Your Kingdom manifesting in my life, on earth as it is in Heaven! Thank You for giving me this abundant life. Lord, teach me to live and breathe and function as one who is fully alive! I pray this in Jesus’ name, Amen.
